I always liked that scene in Rebel Without A Cause where James Dean swigs the milk straight from the bottle.
Convinced me he was the toughest person in the world.

(Actually it made me laugh. His character is such a twat in that film.)

Mariana: Yeah, I’m pretty used to no one knowing what the hell I’m on about most of the time.

Otto: Some places in the UK still have milk delivery trucks old school. Me, I drink chocolate soy milk out of the carton. And also, I can’t believe we’re talking about milk and you haven’t even attempted ONE double entendre! I am a little disappointed, frankly.

Jim: I don’t think I’d ever heard that, Jim. Or if I did, I promptly forgot. S’what I do best!

I like this.

I was always struck by the salt law in India which made it illegal to make salt. On the surface such a daft law but since salt = life it says a lot about how the government viewed itself I suppose.

Nobody understood anything. Do you know the word salary comes from salt? Well that is because that was the thing that workers where paid with. Salt was the currency.
So is the getting paid consciousness of humanity. It is obvious that is what all is about.
