Rubbish. Doesn’t even rhyme.
Sucked in, again.
Hey, didn’t I write that?!
Don’t listen to Betjeman: he hasn’t got a leg to stand on.
Cor, look at the knockers on that.
I like this blog cause I never know what to expect Sometimes it takes me on long voyages And others, it sends me to the corner off license But always it fools me into thinking I’m cleverer than I am.
haha. wonderful.
I hate calling them poems. I always hope no one will notice I’ve written one (and they probably wouldn’t, till you point it out).
loving the baby po.
My but I keep very good company.
Sir John Betjeman: Now, now, don’t be pedantic.
Just Another Sucker: Have you been playing with the hoover again? ;)
Michael Rosen: No, but you did write one about chocolate cake apparently.
Phillip Larkin: Aren’t they splendid? I buffed and polished them this morning.
Clarissa: Yes, I think I’m cleverer than I am all the time.
Lissa: Hoho, thank you. :)
Z: Yes, but these aren’t poems, are they? They are words arranged in short lines, with rhythm (not rhyme, as Sir John Betjeman so kindly pointed out).
Jade: Hello and welcome, Jade. Baby po. Hmmm. Just one ‘O’ away from ‘baby poo,’ isn’t it? ;)
“I don’t have anything clever to add to the current discussion. I just wanted to say I think you should be compulsory reading for all Londoners.”
I couldn’t agree more… but not just Londoners either… anyone with any love for or respect or affection for, the city….
Having said that, I couldn’t help but feel the comments to DG’s blog soooooo depressing…
best wishes…
